AVIDwireless Power Monitoring and Control applications provide the perfect solution for monitoring equipment that utilize significant amounts of energy. Good candidates for power monitoring are commercial refrigerators and freezer units. For example a 1 degree decrease in temperature on a 1700 cubic ft commercial freezer can generate an energy savings of 6-8% annually. In the case of freezer or refrigeration applications the more you can increase the temperature and still maintain safe parameters the more energy savings that would be realized in a year.
Another important feature is the ability to manage critical events. If a door has been open for a long period of time, a unit will have much higher energy costs. AVIDdashboard can recognize changes in normal operation conditions and broadcast alarms in a variety of ways.
