Remote Energy Management

PowerMonitoring AVIDSmartSensors are connected to each piece of equipment that you need to monitor and manage its power utilization. Sample equipment includes oil/gas wells, water pumps, motors, lifts and convayors. The AVIDSmartSensors report the power used by each device, compared to a conventional electric meter that monitors the aggragate of the site.
AVIDdirector reviews the information gathered from the sensors and determines, based on parameters established within the system, what information is important and should be sent to the back-end monitoring system.
AVIDdirector is configured with a 900 MHz radio for communicating with the central monitor for sensors located nearby. For those sensors located in remote places, the appropriate radio will be selected based on the carriers, which offer the best service in that location.
The information gathered from the sensors is sent to the central monitor and is accepted by the back-end system and stored in a database.

		The back-end system provides various reports and information, configured specifically for energy monitoring, which is available to an authorized user. Should any of the sensors exceed the parameters configured within the system, then alerts will be sent to designated personnel, or the offending equipment will be remotely shut down.
